An Elegant Tourist Destination
The Lyon region in southwestern France is the scene of one of the most epic battles fought between Christians and Muslims during the medieval period. In 8 AH, when Salah Al-Din died Donner and Beret led a force of nearly a thousand men to attack the Muslims again, taking thirty-two palaces in Ferencie. They laid siege to the cities of Granada, Algeria, and Morocco but were driven off by the combined forces of Charles the Great, Henry the third and John the Baptist.
